This week just got a whole lot better as it has been confirmed that* Frozen 2* is happening.
The announcement that a sequel to the hit Dinsey film was announced at Disney’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders in San Francisco on Thursday. The first film's directing duo Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are back, as are Kristen Bell (who plays Anna) and the voice of Olaf, Josh Gadd.
Kristen seemed pretty excited by the news, the star tweeted a photo of her posing with a bag of ice, captionning the snap "Dreams really do come 2!!! #FROZEN2 #itsofficial".
Just like Kristen, we cannot wait for Frozen to return. So far, Disney haven't made any announcements about key stats such as when the sequel will be released. So in the meantime, we’ve compiled a list of all the things that we really want to see in the second Frozen film…
1. More Nordic hairspiration
‘Do You Wanna Build A Snowman’ and ‘Love Is An Open Door’ were our 2014 anthems of choice and we’re not even sorry. We challenge you to name a better song to belt out in the shower than ‘Let It Go’. Thought of one? We didn’t think so. We can’t wait for more hits, and all of the parodies that come along afterwards.
4. More Tangled character cameos
The sneaky appearance of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Tangled,* *in Arendelle (the setting of Frozen) makes us irrationally happy.
5. More Female heroes
We love the way that Elsa and Anna are (spoiler alert!) not saved by men. These independent ladies get by with sisterly love. Plus, we love the fact that the princesses aren’t just pretty, but funny, clever, brave, and aren't afraid to get stuck in to the chocolate at a buffet. You wouldn't catch Prince Charming doing that.
We can't wait to see more adventures from Anna, Elsa and all of the animated gang. Bring on* Frozen 2*!
