There's no sign of Fifty Shades fever abating any time soon, especially as E.L. James has just announced plans to publish a new book... from Christian Grey's perspective. Yup, fans of the franchise will soon be able to relive all of their favourite moments as told by the S&M fanatic himself.
The news broke today courtesy of the book's publishers, with E.L. James explaining that she wrote the novel due to popular demand from fans, dedicating it to "those readers who asked…and asked… and asked… and asked for this."
Simply called Grey, the book will be released on June 18, which meticulous readers will know happens to be Mr Grey's birthday in the franchise.
The author explains: “Christian is a complex character, and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past. Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It’s been a great pleasure to return to my happy place – writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic publishing teams in the US and the UK.”
Perhaps we'll get answers to the many questions that have left us at a loss all this time. Like what exactly is it that drew him to shy old Ana? And the most burning of the bunch: when did he learn to be so good at plaiting hair?
