In today’s utterly grim news, a Chinese woman has apparently filmed a suicide note and posted it to Instagram before killing herself. jojostai1012, who seems to be from Shanghai, posted a message reading, ‘I will haunt you day and night after I’m dead,’ on the photosharing social network.
Thought to be directed at her ex-boyfriend, she then set her belongings on fire, uploading a photo of the scene. After this, she posted a photo of her legs hanging over a rooftop.
Someone has since posted a pictire of what they claim is her body on Chinese social media platform Mop. The grainy image, of police surrounding a woman lying in the car park of a building, has not yet been verified. According to The Daily Dot, a person claiming to be her neighbour wrote on Mop, ‘This is real, we live in the same building, she died Saturday morning. No matter what, how much courage must it have taken for a little girl to kill herself? Hope she will find peace in the afterlife.’
She had previously Instagrammed a photo of the boy thought to be her ex along with the caption, ‘I never thought that you'd deceive me, but I still love you.’ And said, ‘All of this I cannot forget, can never forget, unless I die.’
On top of that, she had also posted photos with messages such as, ‘In my life, I haven’t done any [seriously] bad things, so why subject me to this kind of torment?’ And, ‘Life has been so miserable these past few days. I want to forget all of this, to control my mood and not be crying painfully late at night every night, but I can’t do it, there’s nothing I can do. All of this is too unfair to me, I can’t bear it.’
Whether she actually killed herself is still a mystery, but we’ll keep you updated. As yet, we still don’t know her name and there have been no reports of her suicide in Shanghai media.
Her Instagram profile now has over 62,000 followers and many messages of condolence are being left in comments under her photos.
