An Australian chicken shop has got an actual chicken tweeting from its account. So far, it’s been fairly incomprehensible, but Betty the chicken wrote ‘bum8’ the other day, which got everyone really excited.
The shop, Chicken Treat, aims to get Betty tweeting a five-letter English word by October 30, in order to get her into the Guinness Book Of World Records. And if you’re wondering how she tweets, it’s all to do with pecking at the keyboard.
To celebrate what has to be one of the best marketing campaigns in recent history, here are Betty’s best tweets so far. It’s safe to say she’s got a bit to go before hitting that five-letter glory.
This is absolutely vintage Betty – loads of letters, numbers, spaces and symbols
Really exploring those punctuation keys here
Keeping it succinct, and getting straight to the point
And then her first word. Bum. Everyone must be so proud.
Get involved in #ChickenTweet now because it’s the best thing on Twitter at the moment. Fingers crossed she makes it!
