What: The Rodial Art & Design Challenge with Central Saint Martins
Who: Erin O'Connor, Caroline Flack, Henry Holland, Donna Aida, Bip Ling, Zara Martin
Where: Balthazaar
Luxury beauty brand Rodial has teamed up with Central Saint Martins to launch an art and design challenge. To celebrate the project and to announce the winner Rodial founder Maria Hatzistefanis hosted an elegant dinner party at Balthazaar for her fashion friends and the finalists. Aaron Chung proved to be the winner after wowing the judging panel, and his limited edition Rodial designs will be available from September. Maria said: 'It has been a very inspiring experience working with emerging young talent at the esteemed art & design institute of Central Saint Martins. The Rodial Art & Design Challenge has given the opportunity to a very talented young designer to make a vital footprint in a design that transcends art, fashion & beauty.' Fellow judge Erin O'Connor mingled around the private room, looking elegant in a Roksanda dress, while Henry Holland stayed put at his table gossiping with BFF Caroline Flack. We couldn’t help but corner Caroline to talk all things X Factor. What were on thoughts on Grimmy joining the team? ‘I’m so excited, he’ll be great, he really knows what sells so he’ll be good at spotting new talent’, she explained. ‘I was looking forward to returning with Olly anyway but now I literally can’t wait.’ And what of her new (and rather controversial )show Love Island? ‘The boys are awful, I can’t stand Jordan! ’
