Cardinal Says Radical Feminists To Blame For Catholic Paedophiles

And here we were thinking feminism was just about equal rights

When we think of the very worst things radical feminism has done to the world, we think of Valerie Solanas, who tried to kill Andy Warhol but didn’t. We think of Andrea Dworkin, who said that all heterosexual sex was rape, we think of the ongoing fights between radfems and trans people, we also think of Bell Hooks, who said that Beyoncé was a ‘terrorist’ for her appearance on a Time magazine cover. Apart from the attempted murder (probably more to do with Solanas’s paranoid schizophrenia than her feminism), none of that is too criminal, right?

That’s why we’re a bit baffled as to why a cardinal has blamed ‘radical feminists’ for the sexual abuse of children by Catholic priests and nuns.

Raymond Leo Burke, who was unsurprisingly demoted by the Pope last year, but still works as a cardinal, said that women’s rights have progressed to a point where men are left ‘poorly formed’ and that this is to blame for vices like ‘pornography, sexual promiscuity, alcohol, drugs, and a whole gamut of addictions’.

He also told New Emangelization, ‘There was a period of time when men who were feminised and confused about their own sexual identity had entered the priesthood. Sadly, some of these disordered men sexually abused minors; a terrible tragedy for which the Church mourns.’

In case this logic is too bizarre to comprehend, this is it in a nutshell: women got more rights, at least on paper, so men wrongly felt insecure and turned to vices to feel better. Some other men joined the Catholic priesthood and abused children. But it’s all radical feminists’ fault. Oh, and those men were confused about their sexuality, so were obviously paedophiles.

You have to wonder how a man like this gets away with wearing a sassy red dress all day.

We don’t know many radical feminists, but we’re guessing that none of them were actually in the Catholic church (too many men) to commit abuses, and none of them have much sway over what Catholic clergymen do to kids. Unless they’re witches or something. This man believes in witches. Yep, that’s basically what we’re getting from Raymond’s spiel.
