It has now been revealed that Caitlyn Jenner will not face manslaughter charges after being involved in a fatal car crash that killed 69-year-old woman Kim Howe and injured several others.

Documents released by the LA County District Attorney have declared that Caitlyn was not speeding when her car hit a Lexus which then spun into oncoming traffic. Prosecutors said they did not have enough evidence for a conviction.

Prior to this, Sheriffs had thought that Jenner had been driving too fast when her car collided with two other vehicles.

According to TMZ, officials have now decided Caitlyn's behaviour was not "unreasonable".

Blair Berk, Jenner's attorney, told the site:

"We believed from the start that a thorough and objective investigation would clear Caitlyn of any criminal wrongdoing.

"We are heartened the district attorney has agreed that even a misdemeanour charge would be inappropriate.

"A traffic accident, however devastating and heartbreaking when a life is lost, is not necessarily a criminal matter.''

Caitlyn Jenner could face manslaughter charges, after being involved in a car crash that killed one and injured seven, the Guardian reports.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s investigators plan to recommend that a vehicular manslaughter charge is filed against Jenner for the crash, which occured on the 7 February, before her gender reassignment.

The department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida said that Jenner's driving was deemed “unsafe for the prevailing road conditions”.

Jenner's SUV rear-ended a Lexus, that slammed into a Toyota Prius that had slowed down or stopped on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. The Lexus veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into a black Hummer, which led to the death of the driver, Kim Howe.

Caitlyn has faced lawsuits from Howe's stepchildren and talent agent Jessica Steindorff, who was injured in the crash.

Her case is currently up for final review next week, when the district attorney will determine the charges.

If Jenner is convicted of the charges, she could face up to one year in jail.
