Update: Monday 19th January

The full line up of performers have been announced and Take That (now a trio) have been added to the list. They join the likes of Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Paloma Faith, George Ezra and Royal Blood on the stage. Hoorah!

Friday 16th January

It's the biggest event in the British music calendar and last night Grazia was invited to join in the party at the 2015 Brits nominations.

We were treated to performances from the likes of Jessie Ware, FKA twigs, who is ridiculously softly spoken, Clean Bandit and Critics' Choice winner James Bay - who, quite frankly, is a bit of a charmer fyi.

twigs said she was 'really excited' to be nominated - she was listed in the Best Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act categories - and said it was nice to be back on home soil after a tour of America. And twigs embarrassed host Reggie Yates when he wished her a happy birthday and she replied: 'It's not my birthday tomorrow. Wikipedia gets things wrong.' Awks.

Back to the nominations, and Sam Smith leads the way with five nods that include Best male, Best album and Best Newcomer. He will also be performing at the ceremony as will International Female nominee Taylor Swift. Hoorah!

Ed Sheeran and George Ezra, follow Sam closely with four nominations apiece, while Royal Blood have three.

On the night Brit Award winners will be honoured with a trophy designed by Tracy Emin and Ant and Dec are replacing James Corden as hosts of the show. Thank god James won't be doing his Pharrel hat gag again.

In addition, Raymond Weil are celebrating its 10 year anniversary of sponsoring the BRIT Awards timepieces that will be given to nominees, presenters and performers backstage. Lucky them!

We can't wait!
