After being missing for over a month, the Fault In Our Stars bench has been returned to its original location on the Leidsegracht in Amsterdam.
The bench was stolen a few weeks ago, according to city officials but no one noticed for ages, as the robbers had put a flower planter in its place. Last week, it was confirmed the famous seat had been swiped and the city said they planned to replace it with a new one.
It hasn’t been revealed who took it or how it found its way back, but the city has reinstalled the original benchand all is well. Possible theories about who took it range from Shailene superfans to pissed off neighbours who didn’t appreciate the many Fault In Our Stars tourists who wanted to take photos on the bench.
The bench is the one where Hazel and Augustus kiss in the movie, which is totally the teen flick of the year. If you still haven’t seen it, bring a box of tissues when you do. Here’s why.
