Behold The Plane Crash Selfie

Because the first thing you do when you've cheated death now is snap a selfie

We've had a selfie from the 1920s that'll blow your mind. And a selfie with a dead person that someone was seriously that stupid to think was ok. And now this: behold - the rise of plane crash selfies.

University student Hannah Udren was on US Airways flight 1702 taking off from Philadelphia International Airport yesterday, when its nose landing gear collapsed and crew were forced to abort. No one was seriously injured.

All 149 passengers and crew were evacuated via the inflatable slides and apparently waited around 30 minutes to be bussed back to the terminal. With that amount of time to kill, we understand that your first instinct is to take a selfie. But given the world's obsessed with the horror that is the missing Malaysian airline jet, maybe it wasn't exactly appropriate timing to tweet such a thing? Just a thought.
