Very few spaces are off limits when it comes to great Instagram content. Even the loos.
And though we've all tired of our friends' blurry mirror selfies taken in the unimpressive bathrooms of your local bar after a few proseccos, those beautiful photos of dreamy powder rooms will never, ever get old. Hit us with all of the interiors inspo, please.
Whether you're the toilet selfie sort or simply like to admire the intricate tile work of an upmarket ladies room, London has plenty to feed your Instagram needs. Some of the cities hottest hotels and restaurants have cottoned on to the fact that photogenic surroundings are almost as important as the services they provide, and the bathrooms at play have earned quite the reputation.
Renowned Mayfair nightclub Annabel's recently had a gorgeous refurb, and their millennial pink ladies room caught everyone's attention. Beauty mogul Charlotte Tilbury was even brought on board to perfect the space - there are lighting dials so you can put yourself in your best light and she also told Refinery29 that the playlist she created (yes, that's a curated playlist especially for the powder room) includes classics from Prince, Madonna and George Michael.
So, in the spirit of great Instagram content (and, well, nice toilets) here's a peak inside some of the best that London has to offer.
We all say that we're over it, but millennial pink really does look good on camera, doesn't it? Restaurant Ours compliments the Insta-popular colour with an equally as trendy palm print from wall to ceiling, and we're big fans of those gold sinks, too.
Have you ever been for a wee in a pod? Because Sketch's egg-loos can offer you that experience. Forget those shabby stalls with un-lockable doors, relieve yourself sci-fi style these bright white personal pods. And every Instagram feed could do with photo of a rainbow tiled ceiling.
With a name like 'Palm Vaults' the independent café's bathroom's focal point for decorative inspo came as no surprise. You'll find more beautiful palm prints in the wider venue that'll act as the perfect backdrop to your sneaky mid-evening selfies, too. And yes, there's that millennial pink tile action again.
Floors are a big deal in the Instagram world. Have a quick scan of the miles and miles of scroll material under the #FromWhereIStand and the @IHaveThisThingWithFloors account. And though The Ned's black and white tiles are relatively minimal, we're into how they compliment the marble sink counters and dusty peach (not quite millennial pink) walls.
It seems bird taps have emerged as a cool bathroom micro-trend. Park Chinois's decadent set up is a lot to take in, in the best possible way. The moody lighting might not be the easiest to photograph, but with a good camera, a little patience and a forgiving queue behind you, your friends are in for an Instagram treat.
