Angelina Jolie Steals Jennifer Aniston’s Thunder By Meeting The Pope

It's Jennifer Aniston's big moment - as the Awards season in Hollywood approaches the Friends star is gearing up to shine on the red carpet, dazzle at the ceremonies and hopefully pick up and award or two for her stellar performance in Cake. (We've seen it and can confirm she is incredible!)

While Jennifer must be relishing the prospect of finally scooping coveted gongs for her film work, Angelina Jolie's directorial efforts and her film Unbroken have been largely snubbed by the awards panels. Sad times for Ang.

But it seems that Angelina had some divine inspiration yesterday and Mrs Jolie-Pitt better way to outshine Jen than to have an audience with The Pope. I mean it's the Pope.

Ang met Pope Francis at The Vatican yesterday to present her new film. The film tells the real-life story of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic athlete who turned bomber pilot in the WW2. He survived captured by the Japanese after an epic 47 days at sea following the crash of his plane.

While Louis's son Luke and two of Ang's daughters were present at the screening the Pope merely joined after the film had finished for a few minutes with Angelina.

Speaking about the honour Angelina said in a statement: 'Being invited with my film to the Vatican is an honor and a great tribute to the story that I have told in Unbroken. The story of the hero Louis a great example of strength and forgiveness.'

According to reports Ang embraced religion while shooting the film. The Christian Post reports that Louis's daughter said: 'She [Angelina] was not a person of faith and had never prayed before but she found herself at the very last scene of the movie ... they needed sunlight to shoot this very important scene and there had been a storm that had been going for a while. [Angelina] said "I don't know what I'm going to do so I'll do what Louie would do." She got on her knees and she prayed for a miracle … everybody saw it. It stopped raining. The sun came out, a rainbow came out, she said, "let's get this take"[and] they shot the take. When she said "cut" it started to rain again.'

Mother, actress, director, wife and miracle worker. We just can't compete (as if we had a chance.)
