Alexa Chung is Hiring For Her Fashion Label And We Feel Really Under-Qualified

Alexa Chung is hiring for a job within her fashion label and the job description has basically made us feel really underqualified.

Posted on Business of Fashion, the advert is recruiting for a Commercial Executive within Alexa's self-titled fashion label, which is launching in May 2016 and will show an impressive 4 collections a year.

Initially the prospect of getting to work with one of my fashion icons made me all giddy, and the job description states early on that someone with 'attention to detail' plus 'strong organisational skills' is required - got it in the bag, hun. Don't you know I organised the office xmas do to Pizza Express last year?

Unfortunately once the words 'proficient in Microsoft Excel' are mentioned I start seeing the possibility of working for la Chung dwindling before my eyes...

As if the guilt of checking Bebo in my school IT classes instead of becoming an Excel whizz wasn't enough, the job description then mentions multi-lingual skills are preferred. Gulp. So my Spanish GCSE will suffice, right?

Nope, unless you can get by with 'limited working proficiency' in German, French and Italian as well as native/bilingual English obvs, your 'tengo un hermano' ('I have one brother', yeah, still got it) might not cut the mustard. Brb while I spend the next 7 days locked in a room on the DuoLingo app.

Basically, Alexa wants someone who loves fashion, is multi-lingual and is super clued-up in all things business, shopping and sales. Yup, seems doable.

If you think you have all the skills the fashionista is looking for, and I salute you if you do (also, can I be you?), you can apply now on the BoF website.
