The new 50 Shades of Grey book (yep, there's another one) came out yesterday and if you're a fan of the series then chances are your inner goddess is squealing with much anticipated delight. If you're not a fan then you're probably taking a few very deep and controlled breaths in an attempt to stop your inner hulk from unleashing itself in rage.
Either way everybody is talking about Grey, the new book from E L James that tells the erotic love story from Christian's perspective. And the reactions are just as hilarious as we'd expect.
E L James is thought to have written Grey so readers can explore the story from Christian's perspective and disover why Ana was so appealing to the business tycoon.
"Christian is a complex character," she wrote in a blog post published last month. "And readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past. Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows there are two sides to every story."
Readers have been unimpressed by the author's attempts at a new spin-off from the franchise and took to Twitter to mock the new novel and vent their dissapointment.
Over 125million copies of 50 Shades Of Grey have been sold since its release in 2011, making it the best-selling book of all time in Britain (really).
The erotic series has also been adapted as a movie franchise starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Fanning. The second novel, 50 Shades Darker is due to hit cinemas next year, though a new director has yet to be announced.
Fear not though folks! Chances are James will also be writing the second and third books in the series from Grey's perspective (two more books heading our way then) so fingers crossed they find a director soon, as they'll certainly have a lot of work to do!
