5 Reasons Why You Need Circle In Your Life

Nothing can pull the plug on a lifelong friendship quite as fast as an argument over who paid who for what and who didn’t. Plus, it’s a total pain in the backside to have to constantly send messages around reminding people to pay you back for a £8 pizza you shared five months ago (every penny counts...right?)

Which is why we’re gushing over new social payments app Circle. Thanks to some rather clever technology you can now send money to anyone, anywhere - just with a mobile number or email address.

So without further ado, here’s five reasons you need to download Circle, right now. You're welcome.

1. No more feeling lame when you have to ask your mates for dinner contributions

Anyone who isn’t yet earning £30k+ can probably relate to this - socialising is hard when you have no money. Not only can you not afford to go out for dinner but offering to get everyone over also costs an arm and a leg. Now next time you want to have friends round for dinner and show off your new DIY bookshelf, instead of asking them all to bring something and then ending up with five bumper packs of crisps, no dips and a couple of goats cheeses (aka mismatched supper from hell) - you can offer to do everything yourself. Along with a little swift, easy financial aid via text or email. Boom.

2. No more excuses from your cheapskate mate who never pays for anything

You know, the one who always leaves before it’s their turn to buy a round? Yeah, them. Circle makes it impossible for them to sneak off into the night, happily sashaying down the street in the knowledge that they had a free night, practically skipping onto the last tube. Wait, not the tube - they saved so much money being bought drinks they probably shelled out on a ruddy uber! So, yeah. Rant over. But… that mate.

3. No more Monday nights with zero supplies in your sharehouse

Eek. It’s Monday, and you’re recovering from a wild weekend. You had a house party, dropped £50 in Topshop for your outfit and £25 on multi-coloured LED fairy lights… And you’re massively regretting it. Not least of all because you know there’s no loo roll in the flat, no washing up liquid and no bin bags - and you literally can’t afford to replace any of it. Enter…. Circle! You can ask your housemates to contribute too, straight away. Bingo. Monday just got a little less depressing.

4. No more days spent looking for your card reader or hours wasted trying to log into your online banking

Is it just us, or does online banking never work when you need it? Well, struggle over. Circle let’s you send money directly to your friends via text or email, so there’s no messing around talking to customer service advisers (or worst still, being on hold listening to dodgy electronic music) and all the other nuisances that come with paying people - or being paid - back through a bank. You can thank us later.

5. No more basic financial transfers that suck the fun out of everything

GIFS! Emojis! Picture messages! Oh my! Circle lets you use them all. You can personalise your financial transfers to your heart’s content. Think Beyonce GIFs, silly selfies, vegetable emojis….they can all accompany your transfer on its way from your bank account to your pals. Who said money was boring?

How to use Circle

  1. Download Circle Pay (two words) from the App Store or Google Play and sign up

  2. Sign up with your email or phone number, and take a pic of your debit card to pay and get paid instantly
