110-Year-Old Grace Says The Secret To Old Age Is Drinking WHISKY Every Day

Exercise is good for us. Avoiding McDonald’s is also generally good for us (although we’d argue the occasional cheeseburger makes us happy, which is in turn good for us).

But a daily glass of whisky? We’ve not heard that before.

And who better to take life-spo from than 110-year-old Grace Jones, from Worcestershire?

Grace - who shares her name with a famous Bond girl, if you hadn’t noticed, which only adds more her status of TOTAL AND UTTER G - has just celebrated her 110th birthday, and says a glass of Famous Grouse a day her helped her on her way to becoming one of the oldest women in the UK.

Grace said: ‘I never miss my night cap. All I have is the whisky at night.

‘Whisky is very good for you. I started having a nightly tot of it when I turned 50 so I’ve been having it every night for the last 60 years and I certainly have no intention of stopping now.’

‘My doctor said “keep up with the whisky Grace, it’s good for your heart”.

‘I still feel the same as I did when I was 60. I feel fine. I feel full of spirit. I have got seven cards from the Queen now. This year’s was a very nice one.’

Grace was born in Liverpool before moving to Devon, and now lives with family in Worcestershire. She has lived through both world wars and 27 prime ministers, so we reckon she knows what she’s talking about.

Her daughter Deidre McCarthy describes her as ‘beautiful and intelligent’.

We couldn’t agree any more and our now out to the shops to stock up on whisky. Which may or may not get drunk just before bedtime, but eh, it’s the weekend.
