If you’re single, chances are you’re on - or have been - on Tinder. Now, swiping right has become an institution all of its own in dating, along with ‘matching’, inappropriately forward chat-up lines and, of course, the inevitable dick pic or two. But what if we said that video might be soon added into that mix?
Yep, that’s happening. According to the guys who brought us the revolutionary app in 2012, a new generation of Tinder is imminent. (And we should probably brace ourselves for equally inappropriate videos.)
Though it’s not confirmed exactly when video will be integrated into the app, it’s thought that Tinder is vying to keep up with social media giants Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook, who have all introduced video platforms on to their apps in recent years.
Whilst the video addition is still in process, with co-founder Sean Rad saying that they are currently ‘figuring out the right way to do it for users’, we can’t help but be a little bit curious about what the update will bring. Maybe we should embrace it - seeing a bit more of our potential dates can’t be all bad - though, cynical as we are, we can’t help expecting some horrors.
