We love it when anyone holds the door open for us, and (if we're honest) don't always say no if our date insists on paying for dinner. But now, researchers have said that gentlemen's chivalrous actions are actually just sexism in disguise.

New research states that acts of chivalry like holding doors open for women, and calling women 'love' or 'dear' is, in fact, "benevloent sexism" that perpetuates gender inequality.
