'Twas months before Christmas and all across the land...the word 'Christmas' had already been trending on Twitter for days. We might have only just wiped off the facepaint after Halloween but the countdown to Christmas has begun, whether we like it or not.
This time every year those who dare to mention the season-to-be-jolly are met with eye rolls and a united 'it's only NOVEMBER!' But never the less, year after year the early festivities creep in.
So, when is it ok to start celebrating? We hear you ask. Well, we've kindly listed the signs that festive cheer has the all clear...
1. When Boots 3 for 2 offer gets REALLY good
****2. When you see the Coca Cola 'Holidays are coming' TV advert
3. The X Factor finals
4. The first time there's a sprinkle of snow. (Freak weather in March doesn't count, people!)
5. When Radio 1 begrudgingly plays Mariah Carey’s 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'
**6. When Starbucks start using the red cups. (There’s actually a website that counts down the return of the red cup – let this be your guide) **
7. When one of the following is shown on TV; Love Actually, Home Alone, Elf
8. When the John Lewis Christmas ad makes it onto TV
9. When you have your first mug of mulled wine
10. When it's dark at 4pm
11. When the Oxford Street Christmas lights have been turned on
12. When mince pies are stacked next to the check out
Once you see or hear any of these, you have our permission to go Christmas crazy! Got any to add? Tweet us @Grazia_Live.
