There are loads of ways you can get involved and show your support here in the UK. And Amnesty International Australia have come up with a unique way for people to get involved – through Tinder.

They’ve teamed up with everyone’s favourite technology-assisted dating app, to spread the word and are asking people to upload one or all four images of key International Women’s Day message to their Facebook images.

Tinder users can then update their profile avatars accordingly – a simple, straightforward way of spreading the message that women in developing countries don’t have the rights and choices we take for granted.

Co-founder and CMO of Tinder Justin Mateen said: “We are honoured to partner with such an esteemed organisation as Amnesty International Australia to raise awareness of the human rights abuses faced by millions of young girls and women.

“Empowering women is a vital part of Tinder’s overall mission.”

Tinder is also asking users to write in their ‘About me section 'Amnesty stands up for women’s rights, will you? www.makethechoice.com.au.'

Will you be updating your Tinder profile today?
