Jess Glynne can do anything a man can do (and probably better). The flame-haired singer is the first female solo artist to have six number-one singles in the UK. Think about that, Ed Sheeran has had five, Harry Styles in comparison has had just one. No wonder, the brand new station Hits Radio tapped Glynne to be their inaugural guest on their first ever live broadcast this morning,
Hosts Gethin Jones, Dave Vitty and Gemma Atkinson kicked off the very first morning show at 6am with Jess Glynne as a guest. She took this as an opportunity to talk about holding the title as the British artist with the most number ones explaining, ‘I am so overwhelmed by that title. It is insane, but yeah, it’s not sunk in.’ Though fame is an inescapable side-effect of Glynne’s level of success she said it hasn't gone to her head, ‘I haven’t got my own private jet, I've been one. I went on one the other day and I took my friend.’
Just like Glynne, Hits Radio has achieved a first: it’s the first radio station to be broadcast out of Manchester. To listen live you can tune in through your digital radio, online or find it on 103FM in Manchester.
