This weekend (with payday cash freshly folded in our pockets) the month is off to a great start with three big birthday parties on Friday in London, Oneman taking his Solitare III mixtape on the road, FKA Twigs visiting Birmingham and Brighton with the majestic LP1, dates from Joy Orbison PLUS the continuation of Manchester’s Warehouse Project back at its Store Street home.

If you don’t think Tahliah Barnett aka FKA twigs has made one of the albums of the year in LP1 then, well… you’re wrong. She’s consistently referred to as the year’s hottest new voice for a good reason making music that’s deeply engaging, dramatic, strong, fragile, strange, beautiful, weird and memorable all at the same time. Her live shows live up to expectation (her New York show was likely one of the sexiest things, show or otherwise of the year) so catch her in Birmingham and Manchester this weekend.
