Anyone in a backless silk cami is a winner in our book, and Banks - real name Jillian Banks - has inspired us all to join the braless club. In fact, everything in this video works - Banks' beautiful voice, the hypnotisingly dark melody and monochrome visuals, the fact that at one point the singer wears a million necklaces in the place of a top. Bravo, Banks.

Only 15% of Republicans supported the 12 Year's Oscars success.

A poll has recorded the Oscar reactions from 1,152 US voters and suggests that the film, about black slavery in America and starring The Debrief's favourite Lupita Nyong'o, was evidently not too popular with the political party. The shocking, yet depressingly believable, statistics have been revealved by Public Policy Polling. The survey also showed that 52% of participants who identified as Demoracts were in favour of the film's Best Picture award.

We'll all definetely still be fighting over Glastonbury tickets in 2024.

Reports that the famous festival has been granted it's new 10-year licence is music (LOLZ) to our ears. It's brilliant because A. Glastonbury is the stuff of dreams, and B. A decade leaves us ample time to save enough £££ to purchase one of the 135,000 public tickets. It also means that, for the next 10 years, we've got festival style pinterest boardsand fashion inspiration to look forward to. Yawn. See ya'll in the portaloo queue.

The Kooks have a new single and we're really confused about the hip hop.

WTF have The Kooks been up to since 2008? Still taking care of those curly locks for a start, and secondly; listening to a lot of Eminem. Apparently. Zane Lowe was the first to air the band's latest single 'Down', which is released on 20th April, on his Radio 1 show earlier this month. It's hard to tell, but we're pretty sure the band have managed to slip the word "diggity" into the chorus. Have a listen and let us know what you think - Luke Pritchard's voice will definetely bring back memories of passing round notes in class and bumping into way too many boys from school in the H&M skinny jean department.
