She’s all right that Angela Scanlon. Whether she’s presenting whatever the latest funny is on telly or giving us sartorial envy with her fan-flipping-tastic style, the TV presenter-cum-fashion-writer-cum-stylist is one of our top girl crushes right now. We asked her for a Saturday afternoon playlist and found out she’s got jolly good taste in music, too.

The Pogues – Rainy Night in Soho

‘I spent six months working in New York after university and this song always takes me back immediately. It’s an unlikely love song and makes me a bit nostalgic and fuzzy.’

The Smiths – Some Girls

‘This evokes one of my favourite fashion memories; Luella’s used it in the finale of one of her shows (Feb 2009). It was one of my first-ever seasons and it felt like a very special and intimate show. Sometimes, there’s just magic when it all comes together.’

**The Cure – Mint Car **

‘For driving, The Cure is my guilty pleasure. I fear I may be an undercover hormonal goth teen.’

**Anthony & The Johnsons – Hope There’s Someone **

‘For when I need a cry! I love a good weep-inducing track and this is very emotive. Grab the hankies, kids.’

The Spice Girls – Wannabe

‘I’m sure I don’t need to explain this one. It’s a teenage dream tune and enlightened me to the joys and possibilities unlocked through GIRL POWER.’

Lana del Rey – West Coast

‘I’ve just come back from filming in San Francisco and had this on repeat. Perfect chilled-out West Coast tune.’
