Where To Watch Wimbledon 2015 In London: The Ultimate Guide

Every year Wimbledon comes around and every year we kick ourselves for not remembering to enter the ballot for tickets. But never fear, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy the action - and if you're really lucky, that might actually involve being ON centre court. Read on to get the low-down on all the best places across the capital where you can bag yourself a glimpse of those athletic, gorgeous people that are the world's best tennis players.

How to get day tickets

Wimbledon is one of the only major sporting events in the UK where you can buy tickets on the day. Heaps of people queue up and sleep over night to get tickets which are available on a first come, first served basis every day except the last four. So if you want to get them, you need to get there the night before, really. And although the queue is long, it's also part of the experience. So take some Pimm's with you and have a paarrrdy.

And even if you don't get lucky enough to get a show court ticket, you can still get a grounds pass which gives you free roaming of all the other courts.

How to get resale evening tickets

When it gets to 3pm, you can head to the resale kiosk north of Court 18, where reallocated tickets go on sale for only a tenner. Skiving off work early for the chance to get bargain centre court tickets has never felt like a better idea.

Murray Mound (FKA Henman Hill)

For those who don't want to shell out on a show court ticket, there's always Henman Hill (more recently known as Murray Mound <3). Hordes of people gather here to watch the tennis on a big screen, eat strawberries and generally soak up the atmosphere - and Pimm's, of course. As long as the weather's good, this is good. We'd advise getting there early to get a good spot, though.

We've done the hard work of mapping out all the outdoor screens, so you can spend more time ogling over Nadal's derriere.

Too lazy for any of this? BBC1 and BBC2 will be covering the men and women's tennis everyday. So get out of the sun and make like a true Wimbledon fan (the type that forget to enter the ballot, that is); pull a blanket onto your lounge floor, make a shit load of Pimm's and let the good times roll. Game, set, match!
