1. Go an have a bloody nap at London's new nap and work station
If you're doing some work this weekend (hello freelancers, we feel you) then head to London's newest workspace, The Nap Station in East London's The Truman Brewery. There's free coffee between 3 & 4PM, free WIFI, charging points, food... but the BEST bit is that there's a bunch of nap stations with super swanky Eve matresses you can have a little nap in, or even work from. Because working from bed is the best.
The Nap Station, 16-10 July, Old Truman Brewery. More info here.
2. See Grimes and forget you're not at Glastonbury
Whatevs mate, didn't want to go to Glasto anyways. Tramping through the mud just to catch the last ten minutes of Grimes' set because you got distracted by the free food at the Hare Krishna tent? Not for you. Instead, head to one of Grimes' gigs either side of her Glasto performance in Birmingham and Bristol on the Friday and the Tuesday. Much more civilised. Tickets are £20.
Grimes, O2 Academy Birmingham, 24th June. More dates here.
3. Inspire your creative side at the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival
Full of lots and lots of wonderful people doing all sorts of weird, wonderful and bonkers things, the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival is an excellent place to see good and free art and creativity. On Saturday go and head build a giant cardboard box house (before returning on Sunday to knock it down), learn the dance moves from an 80's dance routine, watch lots of different street art and theatre and play with a giant squid that's threatening to engulf all of Greenwich.
Greenwich and Docklands International Festival, 24-2nd June. More info here.
4. Find your kindred spirit watching Adult Life Skills
Still got no idea what you're doing with your life? Head to see Adult Life Skills, the new Brit movie starring Jodie Whittaker as the just-about-to-turn 30 year old who lives in her mum's shed and makes YouTube videos starring her thumbs. It's great. It's heartwarming. And it'll make you feel a whole lot better about being you.
Adult Life Skills, in cinemas 24th June.
5. Go hang out with Bake Off's Nadiya at the Lowry Outlet Food Festival
Nadiya is the bestest. The actual bestest. Go and watch her showcase some of her recipes at the food festival by the Lowry Outlet in Manchester this weekend. There's workshops, demonstrations, music, booze and of course, lots and lots of food to 'try out'.
Lowry Outlet Food Festival, Manchester, 25-26th June. More information here.
