To celebrate International Peace Day, International Alert are hosting Create Syria, a collective of Syrian artists living in exile in Lebanon will have their work featured in an exhibition to 'showcase the stories and works of exiled Syrian artists.' They're keen to establish the ethos that Syria is 'not just about destruction and crises, but also re-growth and creativity.'

Help out refugees by eating at the Conflict Cafe
Also from International Alert, head over to London's pop-up Conflict Cafe which is hanging out on London's House of Vans for two weeks in a bid to get more people talking about peace. Back in the late 50s and early 60s, master of film Alfred Hitchcock had a telly show called Alfred Hitchcock Presents and three of the episodes were based on short stories by Roald Dahl. It's free, although they recommend you bring a cushion to perch on. The short stories are Man From The South, Dip in the Pool and The Landlady. Read the Man From The South first here.
