February, what you sayin'? Because we've made it to the middle of the month and we aren't completely broke yet.
Stuck for what to do this weekend now that Valentine's Day has been and gone and there isn't really all that much coming up for a while? Thought so. But don't worry, we're here to help.
Get your fill of pancakes, booze and art, all under one roof
I know, sounds too good to be true, right? Well, you better believe it - The Pancakes & Booze Art Show definitely does exist and it's coming to London town on Friday. It's apparently America's biggest pop-up underground art show that tours around the country showcasing local artists. Oh, and offering free pancakes. The booze component is pretty self-explanatory but there's also live body painting and live music if that's not enough to keep you entertained. Get all the info here.
Shop the vintage collections at the Clerkenwell Fashion Fair
London Fashion Week kicks off this weekend and while you might not be able to get into any of the shows, you can totally use it as an excuse to shop the vintage collections and bag yourself something that your mates definitely don't have in their wardrobe's too, right? Right. It's all happening at a 5* hotel in Shoreditch on Sunday, and it's actually super cheap to attend ($4 entry and £2 with a NUS card). Get all the info here.
Get involved in Gin and Gelato night
Another magical meeting of some of our favourite things. This pop up are is set to take over cafe and gelato house, Green & Jenks down in Monmouth, South Wales and boy are we intrigued. They have a special selection of gins that have been picked by hand and of course, a hell of a lot of top-notch ice cream. Book your ticket here.
Party with some of the UK's coolest DJs under Doctor's Orders
Hip Hop and R'n'B fans, assemble because this club night actually sounds really cool. Shortee Blitz from Kiss FM and DJ Cable from BBC 1Xtra are heading down to Brighton with The Doctor's Orders' (the people behind the party) Russ Ryan. It's a solid line up which brings with it the occasion to throw some serious shapes, because let's face it, how often do you find a bar or club that plays a solid set of danceable Hip-Hop and R'n'B tunes? Get all the info here.
Throw a wine tasting party for National Drink Wine Day
Not that you needed an excuse for wine. But we found one just in case. To be fair, most of these faux ‘national’ appreciation/observation days are questionable at best. But if you can't beat them, join them. And bring a bottle with you. National Drink Wine Day is on Saturday. And while every day might be drink wine day in most of our households, take the chance to gather your mates under strict instructions to bring a decent(ish) bottle of wine that you've never had before, throw some cheese on a plate and you've got yourself a wine tasting party.
