It's traditional that if Meghan Markle sneezes the entire world accuses her of wantonly spreading Avian Flu through her selfish actions, so it should come as no surprise that her Christmas plans are under the microscope.
Word on the street is that Harry, Meghan and baby Archie will be spending Christmas in America (probably LA, where Meghan's mum lives) rather than going to Queen Granny's house as they did last year.
As the Duchess's haters take a collective breath to talk about how she's rejecting tradition, bringing down the monarchy from the inside and trying to steal Harry away to America, let's remember that they're not the only royals to spend Christmas away from the Queen.
In Christmas 2016, Kate and William spent Christmas at her parents' house in Bucklebury, attending church their on Christmas day with Princess Charlotte and Prince George. The couple have spent multiple Christmas days with the Middleton family rather than with the royal family.
Like lots of couples, it looks like Harry and Meghan (who spent last Christmas with the Queen and the rest of the royals) will alternate between her family and his. So it's not a way of avoiding Kate and William over a huge rift, nor is it a rejection of the royal family. It's just a perfectly normal way to divide up the Christmas season and allow baby Archie lots of festive time with his grandparents on both sides of the family.
