Julia Fox is dating Kanye West. Funny, yes. But once you get over the LOL of the name, some of the things she says in her second column for Interview magazine just aren't that funny, really.

In the Q&A style chat - in which its revealed that Julia came up with the idea for the column by ringing the reporter - Julia has a strange response when the reporter asks 'What's your destiny?' The actress then responds saying that she's 'cancelling cancel culture' and gives some vague quotes about not subscribing to 'black and white thinking' and that she doesn't 'read headlines'.

'Right now, the vibes I’m getting are very much about tolerance, kindness, and love,' she said. 'I’m canceling cancel culture and putting an end to this black-and-white thinking. People shouldn’t be defined by their darkest moment. As humans, we commit violence to each other, we police each other. We’ve created such a hostile environment, especially on the internet. That’s why I don’t read the headlines.'

These comments make no sense, really.

Until she later reveals that Marilyn Manson was at Kanye and Julia's date night the evening before.

Answering a question about who was at her latest date night, Julia responded: 'Dave Chappelle, Marilyn Manson, Naomi Campbell, the actor from the new Batman, Cam’ron, Jack Donoghue from Salem, Andrew Richardson from Richardson magazine, Richie Shazam, all my friends came.' (Why? Everyone was watching Zola at 'a futuristic warehouse in downtown L.A' apparently.) She adds that: 'Richie ate sashimi with Marilyn Manson and they had a really nice heart-to-heart.'

Whether she was hinting at Manson in her previous comments or not, about cancel culture, and 'darkest moments', remains unclear.

But Manson has numerous accusations against him. The singer was accused by ex-girlfriends Evan Rachel Wood and Game of Thrones' actress Esmé Bianco of grooming and sexual assault. Rolling Stone notes that he has been accused by more than 12 women of psychological or sexual abuse. Manson denies all allegations.

Yes, Fox isn't responsible for who her new boyfriend is friends with. (Manson even appeared on a track with West, for the rapper's latest album, Donda, after allegations came to light.)

But, with the causal name-drop, and saying he had a 'heart to heart', it looks like Fox is friends with Manson too. And in also being mates with him, she's not 'cancelling cancel culture', she's just hanging out with a man who has been accused of the most shocking and heinous crimes by over a dozen women. (It's claimed he used to have a room to subject partners to solitary confinement.)
