Fans of Making A Murderer and Serial, get ready to cancel all plans come September, as the latest must-watch true crime docu-series, The Case of JonBenét Ramsey, is soon to hit our screens.
The eight-part series will delve into the unresolved case, as new questions arise surrounding the murder of the six-year-old beauty pageant contestant.
Ramsey was found beaten and strangled to death in the basement of her home in Colorado on 26 December 1996 with no explanation. Her mother, Patsy Ramsey, called the police to declare her daughter missing followed by the six-year-old’s father, John Ramsey, eight hours later.
During the documentary’s trailer, it is revealed that the phone operator has never been interviewed regarding the case as she states, ‘In 20 years, nobody asked me. I think I would've really turned the case around’.
The docu-series will re-examine similar evidence and re-visit interviews with key suspects linked to the tragedy. The makers of the show have also made a reconstruction of the family home in order to work out what may have happened.
Retired FBI agent and former prosecutor Jim Clemente will feature within the documentary alongside Scotland Yard's Laura Richards and forensic scientists Drs. Henry Lee and Werner Spitz.
JonBenét’s family were immediate suspects, though were eventually cleared following DNA tests. Her mother Patsy later died of cancer in 2006. Two decades on, the case is left unresolved as nobody has ever been charged, making the documentary an eye-opening watch.

The docu-series will be released on 18 September in the US but we're still waiting on the news of a UK date...
