Strictly Come Dancing favourites Giovanni Pernice and his celebrity partner, soap star Rose Ayling-Ellis went to a restaurant infamous for it's 'aphrodisiac' dishes last week - at least, infamous according to the owners. Celebrating Rose's 27th birthday, the fulham-based restaurant is called Gola describes itself as using 'aphrodisiac ingredients.'
Naturally, that got everyone searching for the restaurant. On Google Trends, under breakout search terms for both 'Giovanni Pernice' and 'Rose Ayling-Elis', 'Gola restaurant London' was a rising search term.
Giovanni shared clips of the outing on his Instagram stories, posting an array of cute pictures and videos of Rose showcasing the beautiful interiors as well as the incredible food on offer.
In one clip, Giovanni films Rose as she admires the stunning plate of desserts available, presented on an ornate mirror. In others, he shows the vast array of tasty-looking, Italian dishes on offer there.

Based in the heart of Chelsea and Fulham, close to Stamford bridge, the restaurant describes itself as an ‘Italian Restaurant from Puglia with a touch of aphrodisiac ingredients’ meaning the food, drink, or bites are intended to stimulate sexual desire.
The Gola website leaves much to the imagination with a sleek, black, minimal design and an undisclosed menu, while their Instagram allusively asks that you book and leave enquiries on their WhatsApp.
Judging by their posts and those who’ve tagged them in content, though, you can expect beautifully presented, mouth watering classic Italian dishes from pasta and gnocchi to more alternative dishes like swordfish steaks.
Though the beautiful interiors, dusty pink lighting and mouth watering food gives Gola a very expensive vibe, restaurant search engine Quandoo places their dishes at around £12 for starters, £15.50 for their most expensive main and up to £24 for specials. From what we can see of the menu, the selection is small but done extremely well.
They also do a ‘selfie discount’ where if people take a selfie while in their restaurant and upload it to Instagram, tagging Gola, you get 15% off next time.
Their specials, which can be found on menu sites, include delicious dishes like ‘Spigiola in Crosta di Zucchine con Pomodorini & Insalata described as ‘sea bass in zucchine crust, serves with cherry tomatoes and green salad’ and Spaghetti con Polpa di Granchio & Peperoncino, which they say is ‘crab spaghetti with fresh cherry tomatoes sauce, garlic and fresh chilly’. I’ll take five of the gnocchi and the crab spaghetti, please.
The pair clearly had an amazing night at Gola, if their Instagram reviews are anything to go by. Rose shared a photo from the night on her Instagram story, writing ‘Thank you all for your lovely birthday messages. I really appreciate them all. I have such a wonderful day dancing and then an evening doing what I love the best, eating.’
