Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite and heiress who was close friends with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, was arrested yesterday in New Hampshire by the FBI. It was originally reported that she would be facing six 'Epstein-related' charges, which was later confirmed by acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Audrey Strauss, in a press conference yesterday evening.
Maxwell, who is accused of (amongst other things) conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts and conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, has been at the forefront of the case from the beginning due to her close friendships with the other figures involved, including Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew. However, a little research shows that these two aren’t the only friends in high places in Ghislaine’s social circle.
