Various celebrities have joined forces with Extinction Rebellion to release a short video, asking the question: Where Is Your Plan? The video is targeted at the government, urging it to figure out a plan and meet the demands that Extinction Rebellion has outlined when it comes to the climate crisis. Members of the public also feature in the video, with the youngest being eight years old.
The clip opens with a powerful message from one of the children, saying, 'Our planet is in crisis – we know it, you know it – but honestly, where's our emergency plan?'
Love Actually director Richard Curtis, was the man behind the idea for the clip, and it was filmed and produced by Rankin's agency, headed by British Photographer Rankin.
Celebrity appearances include humanitarian worker Camilla Thurlow and her boyfriend Jamie Jewitt, who both appeared on Love Island in 2017, wildlife presenter Chris Packham, comedian Simon Amstell, singer Ellie Goulding, actress Imelda Staunton and her husband, Downton Abbey star Jim Carter, model Daisy Lowe, director Stephen Frears and actress Jamie Winstone.
Jamie Winstone and Daisy Lowe are already huge supporters of the Extinction Rebellion movement. Both have shared their involvement in the recent protests in London on their social media platforms.
Packham has a particularly sobering message in the video, saying, 'Time has run out. It's act now or face almost unimaginable consequences for life on Earth.'
