Now that she's got that pesky ski trial behind her, Gwyneth Paltrow is returning her focus to her wellness empire Goop. After starting off as a newsletter, the multi-million dollar company has evolved so much that its name has become a byword for curious health fads and vagina steaming. The $200m actor offers out advice on how to move, what to eat and how to pronounce the word 'pasta' - and now she's wants to improve our sex lives too.

So it makes perfect sense that Goop has launched a specific sex channel. Goop Sex launched in March and aims to create a 'space for the pursuit of pleasure'. The account is already packed with sex tips on dirty talking, sexual cycle tracking, reaching better orgasms, reviving sexual intimacy and choosing a vibrator. So far Goop Sex has just over 7k followers, which is tiny compared to her main lifestyle account Goop which has 1.7 million fans.

In honour of this auspicious launch, we'd like to take a trip down memory lane and revisit GP's words of wisdom on sex.

The infamous vaginal eggs

Let's kick off with a Gwyneth classic. In 2018, Gwyneth settled a $145,000 (£110,000) lawsuit after Goop recommended women start sticking jade eggs up their ‘Yoni’ to promote better sex, without sufficient scientific evidence to prove they do anything of the sort.

The birds and the bees

On speaking to her kids, Apple, 18, and Moses, 17 about sex, Gwyneth said: 'I think my generation, we got a lot of messages around sex that made us feel bad about it. I think the main thing that nobody ever tells you, is you have to stay really close to your own truth and you have to stay really in integrity with that truth.'

Very good vibes

So says Goop Sex, 'Everyone’s road to orgasm is different: Some of us might get off on energy alone. Others need focused touch in multiple spots.'

Sex smoothie anyone?

‘Gwyneth drinks [a special smoothie] every morning, whether or not she’s detoxing. Choose your Moon Juice moon dust depending on what the day ahead holds…brain before a long day at the office, sex dust before a date, etc.’ Sorry, what exactly is sex dust?

Girls just wanna have fun!

Goop revealed why they launched Goop Sex: 'As a female-founded sexual wellness companies buck the conventions of the male-dominated industry, women’s pleasure is finally getting its moment in the sun. It’s paved the way for greater autonomy, better sex, and—yes—more orgasms.'

It's all give and take

'When you feel like a giver all day, it can be hard to switch to the role of experiencer.' – Isabella Frappier via Goop Sex.

How to juice cleanse

'You can't be juicing and exercising if you're not in a healthy place with how you relate to your sexuality!' – Gwyneth speaking to People magazine.

Double standards

'I believe in absolute freedom and agency of sexuality, but I'm also from a generation where I'm like "I dunno if I could actually do this myself on camera".' – Gwyneth speaking about her Netflix documentary Sex, love & goop

Breaking news

'It's perceived that if a woman likes sex, then there's something wrong with her. That's just not true. Repressing female pleasure has been a mechanism for control for a long time.' – Gwyneth on Sex, love & goop

She wishes us well

'I'm an advocate for women listening to themselves and becoming truly intimate with themselves.' – Gwyneth on Sex, love & goop

Ok, she's lost us with this one...

‘If you move your shoulder and allow yourself to feel the rub of your shirt on your skin, or the brushing of your hair against your neck, those sensations are innately sensual, and pleasure that can be accessed anytime.’

Relight my fire

Forget about things she's said, she's also offered us a £58 dollar insight into how things smell too. In 2020, Goop sold her 'this smells like vagina' and 'this smells like sex' scented candles.
