There are many things to adore about Emma, Viscountess Weymouth - or as you might otherwise know her: the unofficial Queen of Longleat.

For one, she has already made history as the first black woman to be in line for Marchioness (which will happen when her husband inherits his father's title as Marquess of Bath), for two she is pals with Made In Chelsea's resident-most-fabulous cast member Mark-Francis Vandelli and for three: she's about to become a celebrity Strictly contestant!

Emma - who is already a chef, model and philanthropist - will be adding the title of 'ballroom dancer' to her impressive CV, as she becomes the 8th celebrity to join the line up for the 2019 series of Strictly.

Nor is she playing it cool about how thrilled she is to join the competition. Emma told the BBC 'I am so excited, just hearing the theme tune then has set my heart racing. It's unbelievable, I'm so excited.' adding 'I honestly wasn't allowed to tell anyone, I told my husband and asked him to please keep it a secret and that was it. I told my family and sons last night, it's the most amazing news.'

33 year-old Emma is married to Caewlin Thynn, the Viscount of Weymouth with whom she shares two children. The couple first met when Emma was a child, but married later in life in 2013. Born in London and raised in South Kensington, Emma was Head Girl at Queens Gate School and educated at the University College of London where she studied History of Art.

While the news that we'll be seeing her foxtrotting across the hallowed Strictly dancefloors is a brilliant start to the week: who will she be competing against? Already in the line up are Eastenders Emma Barton, influencer Saffron Baker, footballer David James, comedian Chris Ramsey, actress Catherine Tyldesley, BBC Breakfast presenter Mike Bushell and CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual.

Series 17 of Strictly is predicted to be on our screens in September, and naturally we will now all be glued to it. Emma said: 'Honestly I don't know what to expect it's such an institution, I've watched it for years and years. To work with such an incredible team of passionate people... I can't wait' (petitioning for her to get some amazing costumes - as we already know from her Instagram that she rocks a ballgown like no other).
