With more and more people choosing to access the web solely through their phones, Apple has taken a leaf out of other phone companies’ books and is making the iPhone screen bigger.
According to reliable sources, version 6 of the iPhone will come in two sizes, one with a 4.7-inch screen and one with a 5.5-inch screen. The phones are said to be thinner than the current model, too.
The new phones will also be ‘rounder’ in appearance, and we don’t mean your phone will be shaped like a saucer. The rumour is that Apple has developed a curved glass design called 2.5 dimension glass and ‘enhanced sensors that will detect different levels of pressure’.
Apple is currently battling the popularity of smartphones, some of which have a 5.7-inch screen.
The anonymous sources, who spoke to Bloomberg.com, said the phone is due to come out around September, which is when we will once again marvel at those people in camping chairs and sleeping bags lined up for days outside the Apple store. Some people just love being first to buy the newest iPhone, don’t they? We’re excited, but we’re not that excited.
