Winter is fast approaching and, if you haven’t already purchased some winter-worthy warming interiors you need to sort that, stat. Mainly because you probably live in the UK, and the UK can get very cold my friends – you know this.

If you can’t be bothered to scroll through the big world wide web, and it’s too cold to even consider going outside to the shops to find yourself a blanket, we found the best winter items for your rented flat for you. Aren’t we kind. Let’s do this.

1.Blankets. Lots and lots of blankets.

If you don’t already have a cosy blanket to put on top of your duvet, who are you? Don’t you know that having TWO blankets is what you do in winter. We like this faux fur throw blanket, mmmmm so cosy.

2.Plenty of pillows

While we’re on the subject of beds, let’s add some cushions and pillows to the mix. You need at least 6. I have 7 on my bed current and it’s not enough. We say mix and match them, go wild, have a pillow party. Made.com has a fantastic selection and we suggest you buy them all, but maybe not all, maybe just like 4...

Pillows

3. All of the lights

Ok so it’s not Christmas just yet, but that doesn’t mean you can't put lights up. Think how dark it gets in the evenings. How are you possibly meant to see without extra lights? These firefly ones are so pretty, and don’t scream ‘I love Christmas.’

4. Combine terrariums and candles

Errr so you know all those terrariums you made over the summer? You neglected them a little didn’t you? Of course you did. Instead of beating yourself up for killing another succulent, turn that terrarium into a candle-ium. Sorry. But seriously, look how great these look. Total winter vibes right there. These ones are great, and really cheap in comparison to high street shops. SOLD.

5. Calling on curtains

We know, we know, curtains are bloody expensive. But the blind in your rented flat just won’t cut it. To keep any drafts out it’s probably time to invest in some decent thick ones, and you can take them when you move so don’t panic. Think, cost per use! Cost per use. Ikea has some pretty great for pretty great prices.

There you have it, your little winter safe haven. Which you probably won't spend any time in because everyone goes out all the time during the festive season!
