Momo and Blossom
Even if you’re not totally obsessed with all things Kawaii (and WHY NOT PRAY TELL, HAVE YOU NO HEART?) then you’ll still be enamoured with Momo & Blossom for your pen needs. These pill-shaped pens are probably the best things ever and they do a healthy selection of adorable animal themed gel pens. Because the noughties are back and you’re going to need a set of gel pens to scribble Mrs Leonardo DiCaprio all over your three-ring binder a la Year 11.
Joi Joi Designs
Fruit-based laptop bags for your fruit-branded laptop (other brands of laptop available too, obvs). From banana to watermelon to pineapple, Joi Joihas got laptop sleeves sewn up. They also do cute sleeves for your mobile phone too, but I’ll be damned if anyone’s ever bothered to use one of those for more than three days without getting annoyed and ditching it at the bottom of their bag.
Not Only Polka Dots
For all of your notebook needs, Not Only Polka Dots is where it’s at. Get yourself a different pattern for each university module. Like flamingos for er, ancient Russian history.
Jenny Sibthorp
We’ve come a long way from Purple Ronnie pencil tins and pencil cases in the shape of a giant can of Pepsi. Now, smart girls stuff their pens and pencils (and tampons and bus passes and student cards and library cards and fags) in pouches. Jenny Sibthorp’s are a bit on the expensive side but LOOK HOW LOVELY they are. We’re after this leaf print leather one. Although any will do, thanks. And it’ll double up as bag to take out on’t town later.

Popple & Ping
You don’t really need pencils unless you’re a bloody Sudoku or crossword obsessive, but Popple & Ping’s slogan pencils will look wicked poking out of your pen pot and that’s probably the most important thing, right? Right. The best one is this Cher from Clueless ‘Ugh. As IF’, but there’s plenty more pop culture quotes to choose from, including Gossip Girl, Mean Girls and Mary Poppins. Obvs.
