Go To A Fashion Show

Forget London, Paris and Milan. How about a fashion week that you can actually go to? Manchester Fashion Week showcases some of the best independent boutiques the city’s got to offer, including Gin and Tonic Vintage and the v. cool Rufflee. Keep your eyes peeled for Corrie and Hollyoaks royalty.

Discover Your Inner Chica

So you couldn’t afford to go anywhere hot this weekend. Sod it. Pretend you’re on hols at Revolucion De Cuba in Manchester this weekend at their Four Day Festival. Expect live bands, congas and limbo, (some) FREE DRINKS and fancy dress. It’s deffos cheaper than a plane ticket.

Get Nostalgic At The Exhibiton Celebrating Your Favourite Childhood Writer

From Tracy Beaker to The Bed and Breakfast Star, to Bad Girls to The Suitcase Kid, not one of you would have survivied childhood without reading Jacqueline Wilson's brilliant novels. This just-opened exhibiton at the Museum of Childhood features diary entries and school reports from Jacqueline's childhood, plus details on the inspiration behind her novels. There's even a replica of her childhood bedroom. In all fairness it's almost definitely going to be full of 10 year old girls but it'll be worth it for a serious nostalgia fest.

Eat Loads And Loads Of Food

Is there any finer sight than a street food market? The Old Town Street Food Market, popping up this weekend in Edingburgh's Cowgate is set to feature all of the delicious food from tacos to po boys to burgers to pulled pork. There's bands and DJ's throughout the day and even a vintage clothes fair in a double decker bus.
