Don’t you dare make plans for Friday night, kids. Instead, head home after work, settle in and flip on the telly for what looks like a spectacular night of live TV for Stand Up To Cancer hosted by Davina McCall, Alan Carr and Dr Christian Jessen.

Here’s why you need to tune in.

It’ll make you a good person

Let’s face it, you’ve probably been terribly behaved as of late and could do with some good karma in your bones. Reminding yourself of the struggles that some people are going through with cancer is the life perspective you’ve been sorely in need of – just in case you’ve spent the last few weeks feeling hard done by because someone drank your milk. Plus, the show’ll give you umpteen chances to donate your pennies to the very worthy cause that is Stand Up To Cancer – which, let’s face it, is a much better use for them.

Because Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell might make a guest appearance

Confirmed by no-one except Noel Gallagher on the Steve Lamac show, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Noel are participating in a one-off Celebrity Gogglebox – which, apparently, Kate loves. Will it be SFW language? Probably not. Will it be undeniably the most entertaining thing you’ve ever seen? Almost definitely.

Because Andy Murray’s going to be funny

No really. He’s starring in Andy Murray: The Movie – well the run up to it anyways, as he and Richard Ayoade screentest some very famous faces to play the part of the grumpy tennis ace in the movie of his life. Famous faces like who? Oh, Britney Spears and Pharrell, to name but a few…

Because Taylor Swift

Is Tay-Tay still singing about Harry Styles two years down the line? Maybe. Props to her though, the snowmobile accident definitely brought a new angle to the whole ongoing saga. Anyways, aside from all that, she’s actually an excellent chef – something which she’s going to make self-evident in her sketch with Jamie Oliver.

Because Jack Whitehall’s going to feel his nuts

Again, really. The funny man comedian (is it wrong to fancy him more than a little bit?) is going to be in a sketch called ‘Feeling Nuts’, which is designed to amuse and educate viewers on testicular cancer. Maybe not one for the squeamish.

Because really, what else are you going to do?

It’s the end of the month, you’re skint and quite frankly, this weather is making us rethink leaving the house, like ever. In fact, we actually got our first Tesco delivery the other day, purely to avoid having to make the seven-minute trek to the nearest supermarket. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
