Victoria Beckham took to Instagram this week to praise her favourite fitness regime, The Tracy Anderson Method. Anderson has been the go-to personal trainer for the LA elite for years, with a roster of A-list clients including the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow, Courteney Cox and, of course, VB herself.
Gwyneth Paltrow is so hooked on the workout plan that she took to Goop to wax lyrical about the trainer and her routines. 'She has kicked my formerly sagging ass into shape and I will be forever grateful,' she said, before sharing a video of the sort of workout The Tracy Anderson Method Entails.
Seen out of context, the routine is slightly baffling, but Paltrow explains that here 'Tracy shares with us a little arm series that I did everyday preparing for Iron Man and that I take on the road. She just made it home-made style for me, lo fi. But it’s good. Especially for the batwing problem.'
In the same article, Paltrow moves on to Q+As on the method, with celebs like Courteney Cox and Kristin Davis. Davis really expands on her experience of Anderson's workout tactics, saying 'I had heard about Tracy and her method, and I was intrigued by how strong she looked without being bulky. I saw an interview with her where she said that women should never use weights heavier than 3lbs. Since I had been arguing this point with trainers for 10 years I was thrilled to have a professional back up my suspicion. The most striking thing I noticed from that first workout was that my quads weren’t engaged at all and weren’t sore the next day. This was a first. There were small muscles all over my body that had never been sore before that were slightly sore the next day. But mostly, I felt energized and it was easier for me to stand up straight.'

There's a reason that The Tracy Anderson Method has endured within the Hollywood set, bearing in mind that these are people who could call upon any trainer they liked to whip them into shape, and from what Davis and Paltrow say, it seems the magic lies in the small things. Tracy Anderson often uses smaller, more precise movements to achieve greater, more sustainable change in the body, and the popularity of her practices certainly implies that they offer up great results.
Whilst there are no Tracy Anderson studios in the UK as of yet, you can still sign up to the online studio here, and download classes to follow at home. If it's good enough for VB...

Victoria Beckham Beauty: The Products
Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Gloss, £26
'Throwing back to my Spice Girl days, Posh would always wear a high shine clear gloss with a heavy lip liner to make her lips look fuller. That's when my love affair with gloss started, but I always found it heavy and uncomfortable to wear, and my hair would inevitably get stuck in it - especially riding on the back of David's motorcycle. So it became my mission to create a gloss that was beautiful, with reflective, mirror-like shine—but wearable and not at all sticky. I believe we got it right,' says Victoria.
Victoria Beckham Beauty, Bitten Lip Tint, £32
For a subtle wash of colour as opposed to a sticky, heavier liquid lipstick or gloss, the Bitten Lip Tint is an ultra-light, weightless gelée formula to hydrate and nourish lips, imparting the softest kiss of colour.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Smoky Eye Brick Eyeshadow Palette, £48
Victoria knows her way around a beautiful eyeshadow; her compacts house an entire eye look in one place. These powders are buttery, opaque and blend with ease, too. Choose from palettes with matte or shimmer shades.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lustre Crystal Infused Eyeshadow, £28
A hit of glitter on the eye? Yes, please. Apply with a fingertip to pick up most of the sparkle, and pat on to the centre of the eye to create a seriously pretty gleam. This eyeshadow is pressed, not loose, so you'll face no fall-down of shadow, either.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Liner, £20
Queen of the smudged eyeliner, it was only natural for VB to nail this. This kohl pencil is as soft and buttery as they come. Create a sleek graphic line with a sharpened nib, or buff it out gently with a liner brush for a diffused, smoky finish.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Cell Rejuvenating Power Serum, £180
Victoria Beckham and Sarah Creal wanted to create the ultimate all-purpose serum. Their aim was to be able to use a single serum and their moisturiser, rather than reaching for every lotion and potion under the sun in the midst of a complicated skincare routine. They joined forces with Professor Augustinus Bader to produce a do-it-all serum that seriously delivers.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer, £92
This was the first collaboration between Victoria Beckham Beauty and Professor Augustinus Bader, a moisturiser packed with actives that plump and tone as well as smoothing skin from the off, so much so, they decided to highlight its complexion priming abilities in its name.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Future Lash Mascara, £26
This ultra-black formula promises defining, lengthening, curling and volumising results, all whilst being hypoallergenic, waterproof, sweat-proof, smudge-proof and suitable for contact lense wearers. Victoria Beckham herself says 'This is the best mascara I have ever used!'.
