There a few foods I love more that Dim Sum – those perfect little packages filled with juicy meat or veg (or both!), accompanied by a cocktail or two (or four). Delish!

One of the best things about Dim Sum is the whole ‘share-and-share-alike’ vibe that comes along with those tasty morsels of food – perfect for a get together with your mates.

For really good Dim Sum, get a big group of your girls (or boys) together and head to one of the Royal China branches around London. Their HUGE round tables, heaps of family-style food and well-made cocktails make Royal China the perfect lunchtime spot for a hard-core girly catch up.

We went down to the Baker Street branch for a much-needed re-group. Now, I’m not one to share my food, but the vast table equipped with a lazy susan means its hard not to. And for good reason. All the food here is delicious, so you’ll want to try it all. Best to go for a range of dishes; we went for everything - Cantonese Style Roast Duck, which was succulent and full of flavor, Dover Sole with Spicy Salt, light and fragrant, the ‘Royal China’ Lotus Leaf Rice, a tasty parcel of authentic rice steamed with prawns and duck, and a heap of mixed vegetable noodles. Not to mention, a huge pile of dim sum (of course).

The cocktails are just as good. Royal China’s Bubble Pearl Tea Cocktails are made with fresh fruit and feature lychee, coconut, passion fruit and strawberry flavors, with the option to add booze with a choice of gin, rum, or vodka shot.
