FoodInAFlash: Our 6 Second Recipe Guide To Butternut Squash Cheese Fondue

Every Friday she will be posting easy-peasy, quick-as-a-flash recipes that are a doddle to do. And because we don't want to take up any more of your time, here's our Gooey- licious Butternut Squash Cheese Fondue.

Gooey-licious Squash Cheese Fondue

Shopping list:

All the ingredients below are from Waitrose

1 x Waitrose Acorn Squash or Butternut Squash from £1.30

1 x 170ml Double Cream 68p

1 x 20cl Kirsch £7.50

1 x 200g Grated Gruyere Cheese £3.55

1 x Plain ciabatta loaf£1.50

Method:

  1. HEAT the oven to 200c/180c fan/gas 6.

  2. CUT the lid off your acorn squash or cut the centre of the butternut squash out to create 'mini pumpkin'.

  3. SCOOP the insides out and discard.

  4. FILL your hollow squash with 150g grated cheese, 100ml double cream and 1 tbsp of kirsch.

  5. BAKE with the lid on for 50 minutes until the cheese is molten and the flesh is tender.

  6. DUNK toasted ciabatta chunks into your gooey treat. Enjoy!
