We are very lucky here at Grazia towers in that we have companies sending us all manner of new tempting treats … so we thought we’d show and tell! Here are the six of our favourite new food obsessions that came our way this week. All hitting supermarket shelves now>>
1. CHOCOLATE SHOTS
No more powdery hot chocolates or milkshakes that take ages to dissolve– simply pour into hot milk and stir for a delicious, instant, creamy low-cal drink (14 cals per teaspoon using natural sugar) or stir into porridge or use as a topping for ice cream. Sadly it’s not so great eaten straight from a spoon (we know, we’ve tried!). A 320g bottle retails at £3.59 and it is available at Tesco, Morrisons, Waitrose, Ocado and Sainsbury’s. It is also available from Whole Foods and health food stores nationally.
2. GREEN SMOOTHIES
If you’re a green juice kinda girl – who likes to counterbalance chocolate extravaganzas with a big ole vitamin hit of goodness, Innocent Smoothies new range is for you. Our favourite? The green Innocent Antioxidant, £2.35, Innocent. Yum!
3. ZERO-CALORIE COCOA TEA!
Bear with us on this – the girls at Hotel Chocolat sent us a box of these and at first we were a little skeptical. But steep these bags of crushed roasted cocoa shells in hot water for 4 minutes (we were too impatient at first) and this will become your saintly go-to whenever you want a chocolate hit. A grower. 4. POSH CRISPS!
Grazia girls like a little snack especially when putting the magazine to print on a Thursday and when these arrived on our desks they didn’t last long. Manomasa tortillas are available in flavours such as Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper and Chipotle & Lime and can be found at Ocado, Whole Foods Market, Fortnum & Mason and independent delis and farm-shops, priced at £1.99 (per 160g bag).
5. HEALTHY MEALS FOR ONE
We love Saucy Fish’s range as the fish tastes fresh and is from sustainable sources. We also love that they do delicious portions for one, and flavours that are far to superior to your usual cod-and-parsley chiller cabinet offerings – perfect for a midweek supper! £2.99, Waitrose.
6. FIZZY COCO WATER
If you’re a coco water fan you’ll be interested to know that Harvey Nichols will be exclusively stocking the world’s first sparkling coco water, Jax Sparkling Coco Water, from 1st May. Super-hydrating and full of healthy goodness Jax Coco has added bubbles created using a delicate carbonation process.
