Anyone who likes to orientate their days (and lives) around their food and meal times will already appreciate the mighty snack as the great saviour of those who are consistently hungry. A different sort of difficultly comes, however, if decide you take the plunge out of food-familiarity and actually have a proper stab at veganism... only to later realise at about 4pm on the first working day after your commitment to the plant-life that many of your go-to snacks of choice – milk chocolate, crisps and all the dip, entire blocks of cheese – aren’t particularly vegan friendly.

That’s not to say that there aren’t great vegan snacks out there, of course. But we're very aware that hunting down the right stuff can be a bit of a minefield. That said, we've decided to make life a lot easier for you and provide our favourite vegan snacks in a handy list...

And if you're going to I'd recommend starting with this cute looking raspberry and coconut ones by My Fussy Eater. The matter of whether or not honey is considered vegan or not is hotly contested in the veganism world, but if you're of the opinion that no, honey is not vegan, then ditch the honey from the recipe, swap it for agave nectar or maple syrup and you've got yourself a really yummy healthy snack to munch on.
