Move aside, rainbow bagels and put down that doughnut and bagel hybrid, which is still making us feel slightly odd. The latest craze in regards to jazzing up carbohydrates are the very Instagram- friendly rainbow doughnut, which is now very much a thing thanks to Moe’s Doughs Donut Shop, Brooklyn.

The rainbow doughnuts are so popular, that the owner told whips up around 15 dozen of the things and he claims he didn’t anticipate how popular they would actually be.

'I didn’t think it was going to be that big a thing,’ he told The Wall Street Journal.

He obviously didn't get the memo, that us millennials are penchant for new and whacky food crazes, especially those that involve doughnuts. But where do we draw the line? Doughnuts with LED lights, that flash whenever you take a bite? Doughnuts that remind us to pay our phone bill? If this doughnut epidemic carries on, I predict that by 2078 there will be a doughnut that solves everything from world peace to the crippling London housing crisis.

It is only a matter of time before rainbow doughnuts come to London, so here are some of the best rainbow doughnuts to have a gander at while you wait.
