Was there a greater treat than a McDonald's as a kid? Not only did you get a tasty meal, but with your Happy Meal you also got an exciting new toy (anyone else remember the MP3 player that would sing Girls Aloud? Iconic!) Although we still love tucking into a McDonald’s as adults, you can’t deny it’s not as fun now you don’t get to enjoy it out of your little red box. But now, McDonald’s are launching their first ever meal aimed at adults that comes with a toy, in what is being dubbed the ‘adult Happy Meal’.
What is the adult happy meal?
The Minecraft Movie Meal will be available to order from McDonald's restaurants nationwide from 26 March and each meal will come with one of six collectable toys. The toys take some of McDonald’s most loved menu items and characters but turns them into Minecraft treasures.
The toys on off are a Big Mac Crystal, Birdie Wings, Fry Helmet, Grimace Egg, Soda Potion and Zombie Hamburglar.
How much is the adult happy meal?
The meal will cost £8.19, with customers able to choose from a Big Mac, nine Chicken McNuggets of four Veggie Dippers alongside a side and drink.
Children’s Happy Meals are also getting a Minecraft makeover, with the launch of 12 new toys inspired by characters from the movie.

To further celebrate the launch of the Minecraft Movie, the restaurants are also launching an Apple Cake McFlurry and Nether Flame Sauce.
Fans have, naturally, gone wild for the announcement, flooding the comments section of the McDonald’s UK Instagram page with their excitement.
One asked, ‘Is this the first ever Adult UK Happy Meal?,’ with the McDonald’s account responding, ‘my inner child is going to be healed.’
A second begged, ‘Please do more adult happy meals!! I’m so excited for these,’ while a third wrote, ‘Epic i cannot wait.... my inner child is excited.’
A Minecraft Movie stars Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks and Emma Myers and is based on the Minecraft video game, following four misfits who are pulled through a portal into the Overworld and have to embark on a magical quest before they can go home.
