Fish pie is SO DELICIOUS, but man, it takes some time to make. Poaching fish in all sorts of aromatics and milk, boiling and mashing potatoes, and THEN it’s got to go in the oven for yonks. No need to reach for the Admiral shelf in Sainsbury’s, though, because you can totally make your own mini one – or even double it to treat your significant other/pal – in about 6 minutes.

You will need:

A large handful of fish pie mix – mine was smoked haddock, salmon, plain haddock and prawns

Handful of frozen peas

1 medium potato

Knob of butter

Pinch of grated cheddar

Fresh chives

2 heaped tbsp cream cheese
