Kit Kat Japan are yet again surprising us with a new range of weird and wacky bars.
SUSHI Kit Kats. Errrrm, say that again?
The limited edition range is based on three different types of sushi : Maguro (tuna) , Uni (sea urchin) and perhaps the most disturbing Tamago (egg). Horrific.
But fear not, before you vom, the Kit Kats are merely inspired by sushi and don’t contain any actual fish. Phew.
The tuna edition is made from a raspberry Kit Kat placed on white chocolate puffed rice. Sounds dreamy. The sea urchin bar, which consists of a Hokkaido Melon and mascarpone cheese flavoured KitKat and is wrapped in a thin band of sea weed is possibly a bit more out there. Finally, the egg is pumpkin pudding flavoured, topped with white chocolate covered rice, again bound by a slither of seaweed. I’d still prefer a normal Kit Kat TBH.
So how can you get your hands on these bars?
Well, you can’t. That is, unless you’re willing to hop on a plane to Japan in the next 48 hours or so. The sushi bars are only available in their Ginza branch in Tokyo between the 2nd and 4th February. What’s more is that you have to spend over 3000 yen (£21) in store! That seems like quite a lot to spend on chocolate in one go, but no judging here.
Previous flavours include, green tea, wasabi and sweet potato. Even more intriguingly the Sake flavour contains alcohol - only 0.8% though!
Let us know if you’ve tried any weird flavour Kit Kats.
